We must continue to follow current Covid -19 protocol. This means iondoor dining with a maximum of 10 people per table. Contact tracing will continue, six-foot social distancing must be adhered to, and masks are required except when eating and drinking.

Friday: 9am to 8pm
Saturday: 8am to 8pm

Dartmouth Location Hours:
Mon-Fri: 9am to 8pm
Saturday: 8am to 8pm

Orders can be placed by phone, walk-in or through one of the on-line ordering platforms. We are currently using HaliHub as a LOCAL on-line service through this website.

Covid-19 Protocol Overview

As we wrap up the first quarter of 2021, we recognize that recovery is a still a long way away, however; we can see patterns and directions beginning to take shape. Our restaurant recovery will be slow and dependent on many other factors beyond the vaccine period.

The forecast to return to a stable and healthy business climate (pegged at 2019 period) will be unusually different from other financial down turns in the economy (usually a five-year recovery).

Internal Operations

The processes of retooling and rebuilding will not only include restaurants but also the supplier community. The pandemic has created a lot of change in the food and beverage sector, some of which are lasting and some that will have short term impacts. Nevertheless, it implies change for the overall sector and if real survival and growth is the target, then adjustments and change must happen. While retool and rebuild are words, engaging these as actions and making change happen will be part of the steps we will encourage as we move towards recovery and long-term growth.

Staying the Course

In the meantime, we must maintain a continuing adherence to all current Health and Public protocols surrounding Covid-19. This means that we must continue to participate and enforce the following rules and regulations:

  • Manually take contact name and phone or email information or by *registering your visit on our online app: When you arrive at the restaurant, please have one person from your family *register their information for contact tracing purposes by texting:
    – “steakstein1” for the Halifax location to “11011
    – “steakstein2” for the Dartmouth location to “11011
    After sending your text, please show our host the confirmation reply before being seated and served.If there is a reported exposure in our restaurant, Public Health officials will pull the contact information for all the restaurant patrons who checked in with the short code keyword, within a specified time frame and a notification would be sent out, to self monitor for symptoms.
  • Observe 6 -foot/2-metre social distancing and continue to wear a mask while entering or exiting as well going to and from the washroom.
  • Allow for a maximum of 10 guests per table.


During this time, our restaurants will continue with take-out and pickup orders and utilize third-party delivery services through a LOCAL Ordering App ‘Hali-Hub’, or through Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes.
