Let Us Take Care Of Your Next Event

The Steak and Stein portrays a unique family atmosphere where for 43 years groups of all sizes have come to know us for our good food at great value. We specialize in a variety of quality steak, available either charbroiled or marinated in our original and very popular Derby style blend. Besides steak we offer many other tasty meal selections: download our full menu as a PDF. Most of our desserts are made on the premises and consist of true Maritime Favourites.

Hear what Ambassatours Gray Line has to say about our dedication to large group functions:

“We are thankful for your partnership for many reasons… your continued outstanding level of service and tasty food for our guests, as well as flexibility with last minute adjustments is greatly valued. Each time we contact your team with any changes you have all worked so well with us and greeted our guests and guides alike with a smile.”

Located on Portland Street in Dartmouth and Young Street, Halifax, we can easily accommodate several bus groups at once with ample motor-coach parking. We have a complimentary meal policy for tour guide and driver and can provide the group with a suggested group menu if so desired. Our dining rooms are spacious with seating for up to 275 guests.

For groups over 10, please reference Group Gatherings during Covid-19.  After making your reservation we will contact you to discuss our Covid-19 policies and seating arrangements.

“THANK YOU for a wonderful visit again this year! Each year you guys go above and beyond to make sure that our students/staff/chaperones/drivers are so well taken care of!

The speed of service, ever pleasant staff and the EXCELLENT food do not go unnoticed and are a highlight of our trip each year. We are ever appreciative of your support of our band students.
